Our Commitment to our Community
Concorde believes in giving back to the communities that we live and work in. Through monetary donations, in-kind services and volunteering, Concorde has helped support many local organizations. Because of this belief, we also feel it’s important to extend this culture of giving to include our staff and the causes that are close to their hearts.
Although Concorde supports many organizations and causes throughout the community and region, these causes are especially important to our organization and are a focus of our volunteer time and support:
Concorde has been hosting United Way campaigns for years, but recently took this initiative to the next level. Following our especially creative and competitive campaign, Concorde was named the 2015 YMCA Cass Clay Leader of the Year, among all businesses participating in the Fargo-Moorhead area. In 2016, we raised even more funds ending the year at just over $12,000 raised by our team of under 50 employees.
Great Plains Food Bank
Concorde reserves the day of our Christmas party for our annual Day of Giving. For the past several years we have been fortunate to lend a hand at the Great Plains Food Bank in Fargo, ND, packing food for area food banks, seniors and families in need. In 2016, we packed enough food in one afternoon to feed half of the population of Moorhead, MN one meal. (Approximately 25,000 meals!)
Spirit of Giving Challenge
Concorde has taken giving one step further during the holiday season in recent years, by challenging our agents to get involved. Over the past few years, we've given thousands of dollars in donations to local charities that are close to the hearts of our agency partners across half a dozen states.
2016 Participants & Winners
Rape and Abuse Crisis Center - Kids are Our Business Breakfast
Concorde has sponsored a table at this event every year since it began in 1991. As a cause near and dear to our founders, this event raises funds for youth-centered programs to help children of all ages affected by abuse to help them thrive. Pictured above from Team Concorde are Brian Stroot (who also volunteers with RAACC), Melanie Elsner, Kristan Bullinger, Scott Anderson, Lydia Robasse, Cathe Eberhardt and Barb Rodriguez.
Run4Change - Fargo, ND
"Team Concorde" helped raise funds and awareness on the damaging effects of drunk driving by sponsoring a team of runners and walkers for the Run4Change event, benefiting the Fargo-Moorhead Safe Communities Coalition. Concorde provided matching funds for all team members registrations.
